Post Game: Giants 1, Devils 0

What a game.

I can just end the post there, right? I mean it perfectly sums up my thoughts. Owen was lights-out between the pipes, the offence was just inches from making this a 4-0 game and Rainer was incredible defensively (as always) with I don’t know how many blocked shots.

Elgin Pearce had the lone goal, and that’s all that Belfast needed to secure the points.

This game was much more emotional for me than it was last Saturday. Part of it was just me being able to watch the game live, but another part is I’ve had what two full weeks now to immerse myself in the land of the Giants.

I remember saying this multiple times last Saturday night, but Boomerang Corner you all were loud and banging as ever and my hat goes off to you.

I really don’t know what else to mind is still trying to process the game fully. I’m also somewhat at a loss for words (shocking as that may be). The team played their hearts out in every zone for the whole game.

I guess I’ll keep this one short and sweet then. As always, please comment on the post or talk to me on Twitter or Facebook with your thoughts on the game (or if you agree/disagree with anything I’ve said). We go again tomorrow, so Go Giants!

Oh, and I’d like to point out that the team is 3-0 since I started supporting them. You’re welcome ;) *

* I am fully aware the team is just boss and that’s why they‘re winning and I know it has nothing to do with me at all. If I’ve jinxed the streak at all by saying this, I‘ll take full responsibility.
